Our Tragad Soni family living in the villages of Surat district and its talukas had the idea of ​​forming a well-planned organization-Mandal for our caste with the main goal of getting momentum and progress in the economic, social and educational fields of children, and raising the standard of living of children and families. This idea was put forward by Late. Shri Sumantalal Bhagwanji Parekh to the Late. Shri Dinubhai Harilal Parekh, a resident of Bardoli at that time, Shri Navinchandra Ishwarlal Parekh, Late.Shri Manilal Nagindas Parekh, Late.Shri Ramanlal Thakorlal Parekh, as well as to the residents of Haldharu,Late. Shri Natwarlal Nathubhai Parekh and Late.Shri Sumanlal Nathubhai Parekh, and all of them appreciated and supported his good idea. With this, on 15/04/1969, the outline for establishing our Mandal was prepared at Haldharu and on On 29/04/1969, our group was formed from the house of Shri Thakorlal Chhotalal Parekh at Kadod Mukam and with that, our Shri Tragad Soni Pragati Mandal, Surat was established, thus realizing the dream of Late.Shri Sumantlal Bhagwanji Parekh. Along with this, we will hold an annual convention of our group and include every member in the group, celebrate the love and affection of each member, and distribute encouraging prizes to students, honor the leaders of the society and organize programs like group gatherings to take the society forward and further.

• The Shri Tragad Soni community is located in the villages living on the banks of the holy Tapi river in Surat district of Gujarat. Our community has been establishing discipline and boundaries in the society through the process of social justice and social work for years. In which our elders have made invaluable contributions and contributions. "Change is the law of the world cycle." As the tide of time changes, the society also needs to keep pace with it. So with the changing times, the working methods of the society also had to change according to the economic situation of the society and the need for education, as part of which our community has formed Shri Tragad Soni Pragati Mandal, Surat and has tried to give direction to the society through various activities for the upliftment of the society under the auspices of the society.
• Since we are a Brahmin in the samaj, the occasion of “Samuhjanoi” arose from the need for one Sanskar of 16 Sanskars, which was organized FIRST on 28/04/1980, in which the office bearers, donors and members of the Samaj Trust made a huge contribution. The first Samuhjanoi conveyed the message of unity of the society to every household of the society, as a result of which TOTAL more than 16 Samuhjanoi programs of the society have been organized with great pomp.
• As a result of the unity of the samaj, the activities intensified and with the idea of constructing a Samaj Bhavan under the leadership of the society, a Samaj Bhavan was planned for the society in 2021, a land purchase was planned for our samaj at Bardoli.
• A program to honor bright stars was started to encourage students studying at the rural and urban levels of the samaj .
• Free notebooks are distributed to students studying in the SAMAJ every year, so that students of the society can pursue higher studies.
• With the aim of helping the families of the samaj financially, the work of providing interest-free loans is going on to help the people of the samaj.
• In the samaj, an introduction matrimonial fair is organized at various times for unmarried young men and women of our own samaj.
• To fulfill the financial requirement for the development of the samaj bhavan and for purchasing new land, a “BHUMIDAN” project was started in year 2021, as a result of which the cooperation of donors like Vir Bhamasha of the society is being received.
• To collect all information about the family of the samaj and collect all the information about the matrimonial and other things on online , the samaj's website was started in 2015, in which we are currently going to make the website operational in a new form with the necessary changes.
• Blood donation camps are also organized for the benefit of the society, through which the patient's blood deficiency can be met at the time of need.
